Kaban Montessori School

” A little background before you read my review.. I’ve been at Kaban for the last 4½ years and have had four children attend each section of the schools offered programs Toddlers, Casa, Lower Elementary, and Upper Elementary. Review: This daycare is under new management. It is no longer operating as a Montessori school (in my opinion). Most of the new staff are not Montessori‑trained and are not listed in the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Public Register. My advice to families who decide to join this daycare: Always document any conversations you have with staff about your child’s wellbeing or any concerns you may have. As a parent, you will always be your child’s advocate. Never assume a daycare will do what’s right, no matter how nice or friendly the organization may seem. ⭐️Google, please don’t delete this review. ” Our 2 boys both went to Kaban and we had an amazing experience. The fact that they have Spanish speaking teachers and very experienced Montessori staff which reflected in our boys education. Ramya is doing a great job as a principal, and Asma and Elsa were amazing teachers. The school is a great enviroment for kids and parents looking for a real Montessori school and a safe and warm place for their little ones! “

” We have been sending our son here since Sept 2024. We previously sent him to another day care prior to this and the difference is staggering. Our son cried for the 5 months straight at the previous school and begged us not to send him, whereas his transition here at Kaban was smooth within a couple weeks and he really enjoys going here. He previously had Ramya as his teacher in the toddler program and she has now moved into the Principal position which was an amazing decision for the school. Her leadership, care for the children and value for our son’s best needs are remarkable. We had noticed a huge amount of growth in our son due to attending this school. This school is unique in the community culture it is building alongside it’s strong Montessori principles. “

From day one, we’ve been impressed by how authentically the Montessori philosophy is embraced—not just in curriculum, but in the care and intention shown by every teacher and staff member. Years later, we’re still here, with our eldest in elementary and our youngest in Casa. Having consistent educators like Lupita, Sarah, Dune, and Miriam has been invaluable. They truly know our children—their interests, temperaments, and growth journeys. Even after many years, whenever we have the opportunity to do classroom observation, it’s always inspiring; the calm, focused environment where children engage in meaningful “work” speaks volumes. Under the thoughtful leadership of Blanca, and now Principal Ramya, the school remains a supportive, caring, and wise partner in our parenting journey. The other parents/families in Kaban are lovely, as well. We are deeply grateful for this community and everything it has given our family. Our sincerest Thanks! “

” The community at Kaban is second to none! Our daughter has been attending since she was a year old and they have handled every transition and milestone with care. Her language, movement, and everyday skills are always developing and she is always excited to tell us about her days. She is always appropriately challenged and rarely bored. We’re also never worried for her health or safety as the staff at Kaban take great measures to keep spaces clean and well maintained. There is great communication between parents and staff, we feel always well informed. “
